Jade and Jinx are my two kitties at home. They inspired my logo and business as they have helped support me through my own healing even though they are not working animals. These two also represent my very two different sides which is why I felt they worked perfectly in a yin and yang type logo. I wanted the logo and business to capture myself as human as well as my work as a therapist as those two parts of myself show up in my professional life. I took two very important parts of myself, my animals and decided they would represent my work.

My logo represents that we all have two sides, dark and light and that this is not bad, but human. All parts of self need to be acknowledged and seen in order to heal. This also represents my playfulness as they are meant to be playing together in the circle with cat toys.  The circle is important as well. I believe everything is a circle, karma, our own habits, the moon, the life cycle, etc. We are living in many cycles we are not aware of most of the time.

This also represents the body movement and animal assisted work I incorporate into my practice as well. The last two components of this logo are the piece of nature as I do feel that nature is an integral part of healing and the two sides also represent the bilateral stimulation in EMDR. Thus showing that this logo represents all parts of my business creatively as I strive to be creative and human centered therapist as well.
