animal assisted therapy

Elizabeth works with client animals and supports ESA work as well. She connects her animal assisted work with both her Play Therapy and EMDR work. In order to certify an animal as an ESA, Elizabeth must be currently working with that client, have met the animal, and have worked with both the client and the animal on specific ESA goals with that animal. Not all animals are a good fit in therapy so this work is done on a case by case basis in order to determine if that animal is appropriate for the therapeutic work needed for that specific client and work that this entails for the animal. Elizabeth’s office is animal friendly so we are able to do animal assisted work if it is deemed the right fit.
